Update on Church services for the week from 20th December

Important update on services for the week from 20th December:

Wednesday 21st Compline as planned.

Thursday 22nd no Communion Service.

Christmas Day there will be an 8.30am and 10.30am service with cleaning inbetween.

There will be no Services on Sunday 26th December.

Coronavirus update

The church will remain open for our regular services but the recent updates on restrictions confirmed by Bishop Ian on 16th December require us to re-introduce measures that were removed some months ago. We will once again be required to have 1metre space between households, there will be a one way system to enter and exit the building and we can no longer gather for coffee after worship. Fortunately there is no requirement to limit numbers during worship and we do have a reasonable sized building for spacing. We have continued with much of the other advice regarding hand sanitising, receiving communion and so forth but there is a request from both the Episcopal Church Advisory Committee and the Scottish Government that people take a lateral flow test prior to attending worship.

Installation of Dean Graham at Diocesan Evensong on Sunday 21st November at 3pm

In support of our Rector Graham and the Diocese Bishop Ian welcomes all who are able and wish to attend Diocesan Evensong on Sunday 21 November at 3pm.  Please do put this date in your diary and pray for all those involved.
At the service we will welcome and install a number of people who have served the Diocese:
– as Honorary Canons: the Revd Celia Matthews, the Revd Dr Trevor Hart (Canon Theologian).
– as Honorary Lay Canon (our first): Dr John Ferguson-Smith.
We will welcome and install as the new Dean of the Diocese, the Very Revd Graham Taylor.
We will also be saying thank you and farewell to the former Dean, Kenny Rathband, who will also be installed as an Honorary Canon.

We continue with live streaming the 10.30am service on Sunday mornings which generally works well but on occasion there are issues with our technology and we hope you will bear with us should this be the case.

The live streaming links for the 10.30 am service for the two remaining Sundays in October Sunday 24th October https://youtu.be/txNmSsIXK6U and Sunday 31st October https://youtu.be/qwSJq1l7Ir8 should be available here on the relevant Sunday shortly before worship commences.
